a few days ago we got Mario Kart for the Wii, and Joseph said, "What if everything was nothing?" what an ironic statementt... but he was referring to the kart/bike's stats. like, what if all the stats were empty was what he meant. anyway. i kept repeating what he said in my head and came up with this...
what if everything we were doing in life was really nothing? i mean, i learned of te statistics recently that ten out of ten people die. ha. well anyway. i think we all knew that, but really think about it.
yea, i know, we need to enjoy life and stuff...but have you ever thought about what your purpose in life is?
i don't know. i guess i could say more, but just think about what/who you're living for =]

hey jubilee! i've been thinking about this lately, but thanks for the reminder! :)
ReplyDeletebut then again, if this life is really nothing, shouldn't we continue to act like it's everything? make the most out of it? well, just clarifying what you meant.
ReplyDeleteand i kinda have thought about my purpose in life, quite a bit actually. but what i've been thinking about is not the stuff that you have in mind.
maybe you should consider saying more.
Don't go emo girl...
ReplyDeletethat's really true.
ReplyDeletefrom dust we come and to dust we will return.
so if there really is nothing after this, and if we do just go into the void and we're just another tombstone in the earth, then what are we living for? we aren't immortal, we won't be remembered for forever, then you would just be living for nothing.
everything you work for, would becoming nothing.
but if there was something after, like heaven or hell, or God, or an afterlife, or you get reborn, then what would you be living for?
as humans we're always looking for the next thing. if there really is nothing after this life, then well, you might as well commit suicide right now. wouldn't make a difference, right?
but p.s. don't do that. haha, committing suicide is basically murder, since you're killing yourself. so please, don't. haha
Well, I suppose if life was really nothing, then the only way you could think it was nothing is if you truly believed it was for nothing. Does that make sense?
